Further to my post at the end of last week (post 46), I have included a gallery of the drawings I completed at the Wildman Life Drawing class I took at The Hayward Gallery with the artist Stephen Fowler http://stephenfowler72.blogspot.co.uk/ .
It has been over 20 years since I last did life drawing, this time round however I had such a great experience and may have found a new love of charcoal and figurative drawing.
The wildmen (and child) were quite good at standing still but were not able, or willing to hold poses for too long. The supporting sound (birds, choreal, folk, 80’s pop etc) and lighting provided ample opportunities to also capture the sense of the moment along with the observations of form.
All of the drawings were created on standard A1 paper with charcoal and occasional graphite.
