This one with the red-orange line is more effective than its ‘sister’ piece posted above. The line gives the piece some more focus, movement, and contrast (size, shape, color). It’s really interesting to look at this work alternately as a pure abstract design, and as a strange, blurry landscape on the edge of an industrial area.
Thank you for your comments and observations, it’s always good to hear some of the thoughts out there.
I completely agree with you on this one, the one with the line on is one I really enjoy and will be considered amongst a few others when doing my next set of paintings.
The post that followed this one, was not particularly strong but in the spirit of this blog I am not editing my drawings and putting up everything – for better or worse!
